Anthony
Wilbon was born in Flint, Michigan.
He attended Michigan
State University where he majored in Electrical Engineering. Upon
graduation, he moved to the Washington,
D.C. metropolitan area and began his career working
for Westinghouse Electric Corporation. He also worked
for various technology-related companies including American
Management Systems and Booz-Allen
and Hamilton.
While attempting to climb the corporate ladder, he completed
his MBA at Howard
University. Working at the Federal
Reserve Board of Governors, he then realized that corporate
America was not for him and went back to school to complete
his Ph.D. at George
Washington University and is now a university professor.
Always an avid reader, Wilbon knew he would one day publish
a novel. His first novel, The Enigma of Njama, set
in Washington, D.C., is
a story about a young college professor finding himself embattled
with a secret sect of highly intelligent African American
women.
He is currently writing his next novel. Anthony’s other
interests include traveling, music, golf, and working out.
He, his wife and two sons live in suburban Maryland.
Dr. Wilbon is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.
